Posted Elvis Sanderson. Good morning friends and family! I’m looking to start a youth broomball team out of Prince Albert, SK, and I’m reaching out to see if anyone has any spare broomball equipment they would be willing to donate to the next generation of our broomball athletes.
The team will be open to ages 14-19 from prince albert and the surrounding communities, including athletes from all around the northern communities. I want to give these young athletes the opportunity to play, learn the sport, and possibly compete at a higher level, Regardless of where they come from.
There will be no fee to join the team I have coaching experience and i have played the sport of broomball for over 20+ years.
My goal is to take this team to tournaments throughout the year, compete at provincials, and hopefully work our way to the junior Canadian Nationals I would also like to start with an older group of players who can help mentor the younger athletes as we continue to build teams for different age categories in the future.
I’m hoping to bring more interest back into broomball, especially in our northern communities, and give our youth something positive to be apart of. Any equipment’s or support would be greatly appreciated. Feel free to message me if you have anything available or know someone who might be interested in helping out! Also Pease don’t let living outside of Prince Albert discourage you from having you or your child to join the team. I’m more than willing to help arrange rides to practices and games whenever i can, so everyone has a chance to participate. Please share with your family and friend’s, and sports groups. Anyone in that age category is welcomed to come and play!
