💙 Hockey & Health Days 2026 — Thank You, LLRIB Communities! 🏒
(Batch 1 of 2)
Over four incredible days, LLRIB communities came together to celebrate youth, wellness, connection, and the power of sport during Hockey & Health Days 2026. From school visits and community gatherings we had some unforgettable moments with the Stanley Cup Replica. Delivered through INSPIRE 365, Hockey & Health Days brought former NHL players Bryan Trottier and Rich Pilon, alongside community wellness advocate Brandi Bell, into schools, rinks, and community spaces across LLRIB. Together, they shared stories, mentorship, and encouragement — using hockey as a bridge to conversations about confidence, identity, and mental wellness.
We are grateful to every student, family, coach, volunteer, Elder, and community member who welcomed this initiative into their schools, halls, and hearts. This week was about much more than hockey, it was about showing up for our youth, supporting mental and physical wellness, and strengthening connections across our Nation.
A special thank you to:Our visiting NHL alumni and wellness leaders Bryan, Rich and Brandy for inspiring our youth, and delivering programming rooted in wellness and mentorship
JRMCC Sports & Recreation staff and volunteers, led under the leadership of Kevin Roberts, for their leadership and coordination
Our outlying communities for opening their doors and making space for connection
Events like this remind us that investing in youth wellness takes time, presence, and care — and that when communities come together, the impact lasts far beyond the rink.
Tiniki! Thank you all for making Hockey & Health Days 2026 a success. 💙🏒
