LLRIB has some of the top golfers in the Indigenous golf world!

One thing we know for certain is that LLRIB has some of the top golfers in the Indigenous golf world. Our teams performed well and represented our nation with pride, class and skill at the First Nations Cup, the premiere Indigenous golf tournament in Canada.Congratulations to our Senior Women’s team who came in second overall (out of 16 teams).

A special shoutout to Ann Allen who was awarded Tournament MVP. Team members included: Rosie Charles, Ann Allen, Joan Sanderson & Natasha Gillert.

Congratulations to our Men’s team who placed 4th in the B Championship flight (8th overall out of 48 teams, without our two top golfers, I might add). After a slow start, LLRIB dominated Day 2 and collected the most points of any team.

Team members included: Dade Bernatchez, Tyriek Morin, Tayven Roberts, Teron Roberts, Keylo Roberts, Gordon Roberts, Dean Roberts & Jamie Charles.Congratulations as well to our Super Seniors, who won the B Flight.

A special shout to Andy Cook who won the Flight 2, Low Gross on Day 2. Team members included: Eric Bell, Andy Cook, Sam McKay & James Ratt. The Senior men group was a middle of the pack group and got in some valuable experience with some guys new to the event. Team members included: Geoff Despins, Nolan McKay, Herb Isbister & Gordon Dupre. Finally a huge thank you to Eric Bell for assisting with some sponsorship in entry fees and some shirts!
