The Raqs Sharqi dancers are super excited and have been working hard since January to perform, for the first time, Saturday, May 27th!! They will be doing a fun, Mahraganat number (street festival style) to Mohammed Ramadan, then costume changes and improvisational solos (taqsim) to live musical accompaniment with Tammam ALshoofy. This Thursday they get a live workshop coaching with Yasmina Ramzy Yasmina Ramzy & Tammam preparing them for 1st debut as dancers! Thank you to the amazing guest artists for your mentoring & guidance. Thank you to the TCDC for workshop fees, lending of mirrors, equipment and hosting the performance show.
