Hey everyone!
The Olympic weightlifting clinic is just around the corner! To officially register you will need to go to the Saskatchewan Weightlifting Association (SWA) website. I have attached the link to the site below.
https://saskweightlifting.com/…/nccp-comp-intro-june-12-13
We will be needing all to register as FULL ($350) and if you are using the Indigenous Coaches and Officials program (ICOP) funding, a $100 refundable course fee down, which will be refunded once the course is complete. The discount code is “LARONGE” to get $250 off the purchase price. In order to reserve your spot for the Olympic Weightlifting clinic July 17/18, you will need to register before July 4th, as that is when registration closes and the ICOP funding will need to be processed.
Tentative Schedule;
– Saturday July 17th 8:00am-6:00pm
– Sunday July 18th 8:00-3:00pm
**This schedule is subject to change based on registration numbers
This course will cover the following items;
– Overview of the NCCP, CAC, and SWA coaching roles for weightlifting
– Proper technique of the snatch and clean and jerk (lecture and practical sessions)
– Proper technique of multiple assistance exercises for weightlifting
– Weightlifting competition readiness and understanding
– Programming basics and outlines
Plan to be moving and training throughout this course
– please dress appropriately. We will help individuals improve their technique as well as their ability to pass on good technique to athletes in the sport as the goal is to be a better mover as an athlete as well as be able to coach the basic to athletes.
Please note that there are steps to be taken after finishing this course to ensure the completion of your NCCP certification.
The Course Facilitator for this course will be Chad Benko , McKay Brown, Ken Trofimuk, and Hanna Jacobson
Fee: $350 for all first time attendees and $100 for re-doing the weekend course (use code “COMPINTRO” )For those accessing ICOP funding please purchase course with the discount code “LARONGE”
If you are interested in doing the clinic, please register ASAP as there are limited spots available!
